The Lynn Morris Band

Folkmoot USA &
Other Special Events

Enjoy the touring performance of Folkmoot USA, an international folk dance festival. In the authentic costumes of their native countries, the dancers bring to the stage a unique window to the world beyond these mountains.

Festivals
Stecoah Valley Center is home to two annual festivals which celebrate Southern Appalachian mountain culture. The Mountain Music Championship combines the old tradition of friendly competition to determine the best musicians of the day with great mountain music well into the night. Bring your fiddle or other instrument and vie for one of the many cash prizes or come just to enjoy truly authentic mountain music.

Then, take a step back into time at the fall Harvest Festival & Antique Auto/Tractor Show. Activities include demonstrations of spinning, weaving, log splitting and open fire cooking, as well as a country fair and handmade local crafts. Music, dancing, Cherokee culture and great food add to the festivities. From buggy rides to antique tractors, this old-time mountain festival  is a special day!

Other live performances and special events are scheduled throughout the year. Please check the local media or call 828.479.3364 for more information.
