MAPAA Presents...

Though its primary purpose is to promote the artistic events of its members, the larger goal of Mountain Area Performing Arts Association is to generally promote the popularity of the performing arts. To that end, the members of MAPAA have been pleased to present the following artistic groups in free concerts for the residents and visitors of our area. These ensembles represent what’s best about the performing arts: passion, creativity, and talent.

Lyra
A vocal ensemble of five outstanding singers from St. Petersburg, Russia will present a free concert Tuesday, April 8th, 7:00 p.m. at
St. William Church, 765 Andrews Road, in Murphy. The group will perform choral works from the Russian Orthodox Church as well as traditional folk songs from Russia. The concert is sponsored by Mountain Area Performing Arts Association and St. William Church.
