About MAPAA

Music

Dance

Theatre

Whether it’s music, theatre or dance, the performing arts have one thing in common - all are a total sensory experience, involving the mind, body and soul. And the mountains of west North Carolina and north Georgia feature an abundance of performing arts from which to choose.

The Mountain Area Performing Arts Association is your link to the various and entertaining artistic endeavors available to residents and tourists in our area. We invite you to stimulate your own mind, body and soul by attending an event soon.

Visit our members’ pages within this site to discover how you can be entertained by an area performing arts group - or perhaps join it! You can also link to individual members’ sites from their pages, if they have one. Please visit the 2007 Calendar of Events listing for a summary of all members’ upcoming performing arts events.

Board of Directors

If your performing arts group is interested in joining MAPAA, please contact Karen Borchers, MAPAA President.

The non-profit Mountain Area Performing Arts Association was formed in 2003. It is supported, in part, by a grant from the North Carolina Arts Council.
